My cousin is a beautician and she said never use them so I just let it grow and it is down to my waist when I blow it dry and my shoulders when it is curly :)

I used to line my hair up with pony tail holders ,Just put hair in a pony tail and about a half inch from that put another pony tail holder under it and keep doing it until you get to the bottom of the pony tail. I was a teenager then and I would go to bed like that and it wasn't perfect but it did help take away the fatness and some of the curl. I heard of something new called straightease but I never looked into it. Good luck I am getting My hair straightend very soon, I love and hate my hair.

Need good advice for fine, naturally curly hair?

My hair doesn't grow, I use lots and lots of conditioner but is still really dry.

What hair products are good for course, curly hair that is capable of being blow-dried straight? No, I haven't styled it in over a year hoping it would grow out and be healthy. No go.

Also, any supplements or herbs that are really great for hair. Give me good examples if you have any...

Need good advice for fine, naturally curly hair?

The best thing for hair is not to wash it everyday. With your hair its good when you straighten it and then not wash it for a couple of days. I know that sounds gross but washing it every day drys out your hair. If you use avocado in your hair and leave it in for about 30 to 45Min's that works well also. Another thing is if your using cheap shampoo and conditioner in your hair that could be a major role in why your hair is not growing and why its so course. One more thing is make sure you keep up on your trims. Every 6 to 8 wks is the best for your hair...Hope this helps

What can i use to relax my curly hair?

my hair stylist used some cream and left in my hair for a while, she rinsed it, then she used some "neutralizer" and left that in my hair a while and then rinsed that... and it made my hair less curly and frizzy and easier to handle... the thing is, i have no idea what she used to do this, what are these products that she used, can someone help me?

P.S. it wasnt a straightener product that burns ur scalp and ur hair straight

What can i use to relax my curly hair?

It was a hair relaxing treatment. The process included the actual chemical relaxer (the product that you refered to as the cream) that she put on your hair to break apart the bonds in your hair so it could straighten, then the neutralizer to reform the bonds into the new shape.

I'm not sure as to the nature of this question but if you are looking to straighten your hair again by yourself in the future, please don't try it. The chemicals in the relaxers and permanent solutions are the harshest chemicals hairdressers deal with. If used incorrectly your hair will become even more frizzy and unmanagable which would be a better alternative to having it fall it (also possible). Hope this helps.

What I might suggest to you is a Japanese straightener. It's a permanent solution until your hair grows out.

What is the best (and quickest) way to strighten wet, curly hair with a straightener?

I have natually curly hair. I recently bought myself a ceramic straightener with a setting for wet hair and I just love the results I get when I straighten my hair after showering. The problem is that it takes me forever to do. I clip the hair on top of my head and straighten it in sections.

Try styling foam by Paul Mitchell. Its sold at salons. It's $12-$15 a bottle, but it isnt sticky and doesnt make your hair all crunchy like some gels and mousses can.

This is an inexpensive way to permanently straighten your hair (until it grows out), so make sure this is what you want to do. Get a home perm kit at any store. Follow the directions, except instead of putting those little curling rods in your hair, comb it down as straight and smooth as possible. Don't move too much for maximum straightness and leave the solution on for the required amount of time listed on the box. Then rinse and follow the rest of the instructions. How do you take care of curly hair?

my hair used to be really culrly and over the years my hair is now less curly. what I usually do to my hair is i wash it and brush it after I put conditioner then I put herbal esence moose and gel. I'm trying to find a way to make my hair look more healthier and less frizzy what should I do?

How do you take care of curly hair?

Same thing here. My hair is the same way. The biggest thing I deal with is frizz, it's not coarse or anything, just unmanagable frizz if I don't put anything on it. So I invest in my hair, that way it looks good. I grew up in a salon so I experimented with what I like and what I wanted.

It depends on the texture of your hair, if it's curly soft, or frizz curl. You know what I mean. I buy the large bottles of either Paul Mitchell, or something else, at a salon. Lords and Ladies, I don't know if you have one, but that's where I usually get it. It's cheaper if you buy the larger ones and if you split it up, you're pretty much paying the same thing as you would for the ones in the store like Pantene (which isnt very good).

So I buy a good shampoo, a moisturizing one, make sure it's creamy not clear, it has to do with what's in the shampoo.

I buy a conditioner, I usually use the Instant Moisture from Paul Mitchell as well, and the Instant moinsture line, the deep conditioner. You should also detangle you hair with a wide tooth comb, not a brush, that breaks and damages your hair. Also when you rinse your hair, try to rinse with cold water so you can seal in the moisture.

Then I use their hair get, Paul Mitchell too. It doesn't dry your hair, like many other ones out there. I believe it doesn't contain alcohol. Biolage is another good brand. If you don't like the hair gel, you can use the Biolage glaze. It's lighter than hair gel. I also blow dry my hair, and that's a different story, if you want to know how, just ask.

How do you take care of curly hair?

My hair is kinda curly so I put some mousse in it and use a diffuser on the blowdryer. It keeps the hair from getting frizzy and looks nice and curly.

How do you take care of curly hair?

dont wash your hair everyday because that makes your hair fall off. what you do is dont let it get knotted and brush it daily

How do you take care of curly hair?

finger comb - brushing or combing dry hair only adds to frizz problems. instead, comb your hair with your fingers while it's still wet to untangle strands. or even better, do it while you're in the shower.

frizz factor! - This is the best method i have come across to achieve the nicest air-dried curls! If you have the time before you go out, shower and then lay down on a bed or couch, don't lay on yor hair, move it above your head. Then read a book, or nap while your hair dries. The lack of movement allows the curls to stay together as they dry and also gives boost to the roots as the hair dries, to avoid "triangle head

nice natural curls - let it naturally dry... or in the winter stand next to the firplace.. that'll dry faster without the fros n' splitends. then when it's semi dry.. a little damp.. put some aloe vera gel (for mosquito bites) on the ends and then slowly work your way up to your scalp. presto, n your done and it doesn't feel greasy or overdone. just nice!

frizzy curly hair - Wash and leave hair to dry a bit. Add some leave in conditioner and/or styling balm. Then pile it at the top of your head so that when you sleep it isn't going to leave an uncomfortable bump. Use a loosly wrapped scrunchy to gather all of you hair. Tuck hair in or leaved it out for different looks. The tucked look with leave waves and the left out look will give you curly.

Moisture magic - Moisture is the key to beautiful curls. Find a good conditioner, because well conditioned hair will give more defined curls and prevent any frizz. Also use a wide toothed comb rather than a brush to detangle hair, it also lessens frizz.

air drying tip - As many have recommended, air drying is best. But air drying can take a long time. If you have things to do, wet hair smacking you in the face can be very bothersome, and constantly pushing your hair back will destroy the curls around your face. I like to use a hair net ( nothing fancy, 3 for a dollar at the grocery store). You just stuff your hair in it and let it dry and out come smooth ringlets ( you should push it back a little from your hairline, otherwise it can look a little smooshed).

Wash Your Hair Every Day - If you have curly frizzy hair, instead of waiting to wash your hair every 2-3 and getting that icky, haven't-washed- my-hair feeling, take one half of the shampoo out of the bottle and save it for later. Instead add a mixture of one-half water and one-half conditioner. When you shower use this shampoo and your conditioner as usual. This way you can wash your hair every day without overdrying.

Shampoo helps... - If your hair is frizzing out French poodle style, try getting a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Look for the words moisturizing and if you aren't sure it will work, get the tiny travel size bottles.(My curly hair is the worst and i use Salon Selectives Completely Drenched. I swear it works and it is cheap) If that doesn't help much, don't forget deep-conditioning once or twice a week.

How do you take care of curly hair?

there is shampoo its name (casanova) choose it in herbal its make your hair beautefel, shine, wispy beleve me it well be the best hair

good luck

How do you take care of curly hair?

I'm not a beauty tech, but trying a spray leave in condtioning could be a good factor. Try to stay away from curling irons and blow dryers, and let dry naturally. Also check out a nutritional store for possible vitamins for more healthier hair. I know vitamin e is good for skin, and it could quite possibly be good for hair. Also too I've heard of using egg whites for hair, sounds gross, but it's high in protein.

How do you take care of curly hair?

I have tons of super curly, fine hair with varying textures through, which can be very irritating and hard to deal with. Over the years (28) I have experimented with different routines and have found one that has really made my "hair life" a lot easier.

First, I wash my hair once a week, tops unless I have gotten it excessively dirty. When I do wash it I use TIGI Curls Rock shampoo and conditioner, concentrating the shampoo on my scalp and the conditioner on my ends. I also don't rinse the conditioner all out. All other days I condition only, using the john frieda curly conditioner and sometimes use a leave in conditioner as well.

Second, I never brush my hair and only comb occassionally. My fingers work just fine w/out damaging my hair.

Third (and probably most significant), I use a microfiber hair towel. I had never even heard of such a thing before and assumed it was just some marketing ploy for one more unneeded item. This towel has seriously made my hair so much more manageable and less frizzy its unbelievable. My hair dries so much more quickly and the curls are defined, i will never go without one again.

Fourth, while my hair is still really wet I apply TIGI catwalk curlbooster and any generic ($3 or less) mouse. Then I pile my hair on top my hair and use the hairtowel like a turbon, tying it in the back-I never twist my hair up in the towel anymore, which I found out only causes more frizz.

Finally, after using the hair towel for about 10 minutes i let my hair air dry for another 10 minutes and use an ion dryer w/ a diffuser and concentrater on different parts of my hair depending on the texture of that section (the underlayer is not as curly-diffuser-and the crown is like tight ringlets-concentrater).

It sounds like a lot, but it really doesn't take more than maybe 20-30 minutes total and a lot of that time is while I am doing other stuff to get ready. It also cuts back the styling time because my hair is so much easier to deal with now I don't have to spend another 10 minutes after drying it to try and de-frizz or pull it all back because its an afro, i blow dry and leave. The products are mostly all interchangeable. I don't think its worth spending $10-$15 on a small bottle of mouse, when I can get more for $3 and it does the exact same thing-just nothing w/ alcohol. I do treat myself with the TIGI shampoo and conditioner but since I use it so rarely, it lasts me 3+ months. TIGI curl booster is the one expensive item I swear by because my hair is kinda thin and i live in SWFlorida where its VERY humid 10 months out of the year, frizz is always an issue and this stuff really truly forms and holds the curls.

How do you take care of curly hair?

I have Really curly hair! People aways say "Wow that's alot of hair" but anyway i know how to take care of my hair I just wash about twice a week your thinking only twice a week well you know what my hair would fall out if i washed it mire than that! but i use Motions hair stuff first i wash with shampoo then i put in this gel stuff and put a cap on and wait 20 minutes then rinse after i comb out it out then dont dry it all the way but just about were you can feel the wet water not untill it drips though! But now i but oil, or gel or any kind of mostorizer I put it all through my hair and on the roots too! Ok now comb it one more time and put up in your style. NOw you have to make sure you put oils and things like that in your hair EVERYDAY! or it'll dry out so thats it WHEW Bye

How am I supposed to brush my curly hair?

I've heard that brushing curly hair makes it frizzy and damaged and it's true. So, then I started combing my hair in the shower since it's easier to comb through because of the conditioner. But, when I do that, a lot of my hair falls out. I'm losing so much hair. If I don't brush my hair at all it gets way too big. What should I do ...? Thanks for your answers ...

How am I supposed to brush my curly hair?

Its perfectly normal to loose hair, you could be at the end of your hair growth cycle, so it looks as though you are loosing more. You should only use a wide toothed comb on really curly hair otherwise it will go frizzy.

How am I supposed to brush my curly hair?

Comb it with a wide tooth comb with conditioner in the hair. Use products designed for curly hair. (Aveda has an entire Be Curly line that is incredible) Use a diffuser on your blowdryer or air dry.

How am I supposed to brush my curly hair?

Don閳ユ獩 worry about all the hair that you see when you brush ur hair/ EVERYONE sheds hair. If someone has straight hair, their hair just falls out. But for us curly people, all the hair that naturally falls out, gets trapped on our head because of our curls! So when your brushing ur hair in the shower, its ok if a lot comes out. Its better if you use a wide toothed comb or ur fingers when brushing curly hair, and YES its good to do it only in the shower, otherwise u get frizz.

So comb out the tangles in the shower, and then you should probably put on some product after, so your hair doesn閳ユ獩 get tangly through out the day. I use Sunsilk Antifrizz cr鐚玬e, or Pantene mousse. Both work very well and u can buy em at Rite Aid.

How am I supposed to brush my curly hair?

It is normal to lose 100 hairs a day. Yours are just falling out in the shower. Try finger combing.

- Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now well defined and healthy. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life! But if this is completely uninteresting to you, disregard.

- To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blow dryer, a diffuser (reduces frizz in curly/wavy hair when used with dryer), and a micro fiber hair turban/old t-shirts (to dry wet hair while sleeping or in the morning).

- The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygienic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Most shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent (aka sulfates). They dry out curly hair. Also you shouldn't brush your curly hair dry because it damages the hair and makes it poof.

- Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. It will clean everything but super clingy silicones (avoid these- ingredients will end in -xane, -conol, or -cone). Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse. It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair. Dry it gently by scrunching with paper towels or t-shirts- not towels. Then let your hair air dry or use a blow dryer with a diffuser.

- Use a cheap, silicone free conditioner to scrub your scalp such as Suave naturals or Vo5. Use a moisturizing conditioner, such as Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner (salon) or Nature's gate\Desert Essences conditioners (health food stores) for your hair. I recommend using a gel (LA Looks, Herbal Essences, La Bella) over a leave in (L閳ユ┉real Out of Bed Instant Texturizer). Experiment with whatever products you wish, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites.

- You may be able to get away with some silicones (such as amodimethicone) if you clarify with a sulfate free shampoo. Try Devacurl no-poo (salon) or Cream of Nature (drug store). Feel free to find your own but always check the ingredients for sodium/ammonium lauryl/laureth sulfate.

- Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least visit the websites. Naturally curly hair can be beautiful! I hope you consider this- email me if you have any questions!

A Good Gel/Pomade for Curly Hair?

I have curly/texturizer-like hair and I was wondering if there are any ALCOHOL-FREE Gels/Pomades that will slick my hair back... I try to put my hair in a ponytail and there are always little curls that stick out... Its not frizzy, but the curls just wont lay down..

I've recently had it trimmed too so there should be no split ends..

A Good Gel/Pomade for Curly Hair?

Well the gel i use is Loreal Sports gel its #10. And when ur tying up ur hair make sure ur using the right brush, do not use a vented brush it has 2 be one with boar bristles. It works better, n leaves ur hair flatter. Also try tying it up, then applying gel and coming it down and while its tyd up add a second scrunchy 2 make it tighter

A Good Gel/Pomade for Curly Hair?

Kerastese by Loriel. It comes in 3 different ones; but the pink one is the best. You can find that at Gene Juarez Salons and Spas, Nordstorm Rack, and select Fred Meyer's.

How to cut my curly hair?

I am going to my hairdresser tomorrow and am at a loss at what to tell him about how to cut my hair. I have had the same style now for about 5 yrs (long curls with a middle or sometimes side part). My hair is very curly and thin. I am looking for a shorter style but am unsure how to achieve it without looking like a poodle. How should I tell my hairdresser how to cut it? Should I ask for layers? And what is the best way to get a little more body at the top, because now it just lies there like a dead fish or something!

How to cut my curly hair?

Without layers the roots of your hair are weighed down by the rest of your hair. To get rid of the triangle, flat hair top you need layers. My layers grew out and I was getting no curl up top b/c the rest of my hair was weighing it down.

Really you need to find a stylist you has worked with curly hair in the past, and who has kept those past clients.

If you don't know or are afraid of offending by asking that question, just say you want layers. And don't be afraid to get some short one's going. It creats a full, but not pooffy, head of beautiful curls. :)

Oh and personally I love the layered look that frames the face, it make the curls so pretty. Big foreheads go for side parts to minimize the size, otherwise you can just go down the middle to make styling easier.

How to cut my curly hair?

When you get a good answer let me know! I have the same problem!

How to cut my curly hair?

I think if you have your hairdresser wet/wash your hair while you are there. Explain to him/her exactly how you want it i don't think you should look like a poodle if it's their profession they should be able to work their magic, right? I got a perm a couple months ago and i thought my hair looked a little poofy but it will go away (that's if you even think its poodle-like) :) Good Lucck.

How to cut my curly hair?

I think u should get layers. I have thick curly hair and layers, and the layers make my hair look even thicker, so if u want ur hair to have more body at the top u should get layers!!

How to cut my curly hair?

try searching online for a salon that specializes in curly hair, or a hair stylist that does

(usually hair stylists with curly hair can cut curly hair well. USUALLY)

another thing people do with curl hair is have it cut dry bc when its wet, the hair looks different (straightish/wavyish)

i think you shoul ask for a side part with long layers

good luck =)

What is the best (and quickest) way to strighten wet, curly hair with a straightener?

I have natually curly hair. I recently bought myself a ceramic straightener with a setting for wet hair and I just love the results I get when I straighten my hair after showering. The problem is that it takes me forever to do. I clip the hair on top of my head and straighten it in sections.

Does anyone have any advice on how to make this process go faster?

I would also love any advice on how to style medium-length curly hair. When curly, it falls just below my shoulders and I'm always at a loss for what to do with it.

What is the best (and quickest) way to strighten wet, curly hair with a straightener?

You should buy some Frizz Ease and put it through your wet hair, then with a paddle brush dry it as straight as possible. You should be able to zip over it with the straightener, rather than making sure you get each little section.

What is the best (and quickest) way to strighten wet, curly hair with a straightener?

You could always get a "Wet'2Straight" Straightner they work good.

What is the best (and quickest) way to strighten wet, curly hair with a straightener?

Baby maby you should let it get alittle dry cause that will steam alot if it is on high. then hold it on one spott than go down slowy on your hair.

What is the best (and quickest) way to strighten wet, curly hair with a straightener?

Well, one thing you could do is ask someone else to straighten it for you......trust me, it's always faster.

Looking for a hair spray or gel for wavy/curly hair that has a clean fragrance or little fragrance?

I'm looking for a hair spray or gel for wavy and curly hair, preferrably for scrunching, that has a very clean, mild fragrance or very little fragrance. I use Aussie "sprunch" spray, and even though it works well, the smell is just too over powering. I want people to smell my purfume, not my hair products. Any suggestions?

How to have my curly hair?

Okay, I have curly long hair.. but I find it rather booring.

And I want a new and fresh hairstyle. if you have any ideas they are much appreciated!

How to have my curly hair?

you are fine the way you are maybe you can add some moose or hairspray to tame the curls after you wash and condition it, but if you begin flat ironing your curls they will gradually get straighter

How to have my curly hair?

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... you need to worry about more than your hair

How to have my curly hair?

Try using a flat iron. If you get a good one, it shouldn't take that long. You could also try cutting it some and getting some type of face framing layers or bangs. This would make it curlier, but also easier to blow dry and straighten. Japanese perms are always an option too, but are very pricey!!! I personally like your curly hair, and think with a new cut you would look great!!

How to have my curly hair?

I had the same type of hair.. decided I wanted to get a new haircut, something different.. and I ended up chopping off 10 inches of my hair!!

How to have my curly hair?

cut ur hair at least to shoulder length and have it straightened out and add some layers in it.

How to have my curly hair?

I have long curly hair also and am always considering a change. You might want to consider long soft layers with long bangs that frames your face. That's what I'm thinking of having done. Just remember if you don't like it will always grow out. Have fun!

How to have my curly hair?

its ok visit a salon and ask what hairstyle be fit to you.

How to have my curly hair?

I'm going with everyone else and saying long layers. they will shape your face well and give you some body.

you could also try pinning back some of it in the front. i take a few bobby pins and about an inch or two of hair right in front and pin it back. it looks nice, i think.

hope this helps. good luck!

your a very pretty girl i'd say any style would suit your shape face

Why is Mexican for curly hair "pelo chino" when Chinese people have straight hair?

I know they speak Spanish in Mexico, but in Spain they don't say "chino" for curly hair.

Why is Mexican for curly hair "pelo chino" when Chinese people have straight hair?

That's a good damn question. Why does "chino" mean curly and who named the city of "Chino Hills, California"?

Why is Mexican for curly hair "pelo chino" when Chinese people have straight hair?

Mary, you are too smart (and funny) for your own good. I think it's just one of those mysteries of life. Why are French Fries (now Freedom Fries) called that, even though they were first created in the USA?

And see, I learned something from you; I thought chino was a type of jeans. Ha!

Why is Mexican for curly hair "pelo chino" when Chinese people have straight hair?

cuz they jus do chino doesnt allways have 2 mean chinese

Why is Mexican for curly hair "pelo chino" when Chinese people have straight hair?

I'm Chinese and I have curly hair! I don't know spanish (or mexican dialect), but I think Chino has nothing to do with China.

Why is Mexican for curly hair "pelo chino" when Chinese people have straight hair?

the spanish in mexico is different from the spanish spoken in spain, same thing with english in england and the us. "chino" might come from the aztec or mayan language and not from spanish

Why is Mexican for curly hair "pelo chino" when Chinese people have straight hair?

you are trying to be cute arentcha?

Why is Mexican for curly hair "pelo chino" when Chinese people have straight hair?

"Cabello rizado" is actually the proper way to say curly hair. "Pelo chino" is some sort of informal expression (dialect/slang). Plus, Spaniards don't speak Spanish like Mexicans do. =) Spaniards speak Castilian Spanish while Mexicans speak Latin American Spanish.

How do I keep my curly hair non-frizzy with out the wet look?

I have curly hair and the only way I know how to keep it under control is to use something that makes my hair look wet all day and crispy. What else can I use for my hair?

How do I keep my curly hair non-frizzy with out the wet look?

try the aussie conditioning mousse ... towel dry your hair out of the shower using a scrunching motion, do not rub, then apply the mousse liberally, then allow to air-dry ... if this does not work, try a conditioning gel (I think aussie volume is the one I use) and scrunch dry with hair dryer on low heat, it always feels softer, stil can't run fingers through it, but hopefully one of these will work for you ... fingers and brushes through curls always makes mine frizzy ... you can also try infusium 23 leave-in conditioner under the gel ...

How do I keep my curly hair non-frizzy with out the wet look?

An iron curler..... Or use spray for non frizzy hair..

How do I keep my curly hair non-frizzy with out the wet look?

ummm... there's some kind of anti-frizz spray that they sell @ great clips... (srry no idea wat it's called, my cousin uses it... i just kno its in a samll orange bottle) it works really well - all u do is spray some of it on your hair and then go over it w/ a curling iron. it keeps your hair frizz - free for the rest of the day

How do I keep my curly hair non-frizzy with out the wet look?

alright meow, take a shower and use any old shampoo and conditioner.

when your done, just squeeze most of the water out of your hair, so that its not dripping wet but still wet. Then comb it and squeeze it again until above. do that about 3 times and then comb it one last time and dont squeeze.

let it dry. DONT COMB IT AT ALL.

then when your hair is dry, put some anti-frizz serum underneath the hair thats on the outside, y'know, the frizzy part thats most of the problem. then put it anywhere else that is frizzy.

COMB IT IF IT'S REALLY WILD

then your done. ;)

I have thick, coarse curly hair, how can I manage my hair properly?!?

I can never leave my hair DOWN because it poofs out and gets frizzy. And from all the years of pulling it back, it doesn't curl on the top any more! any suggestions?

It's about shoulder length (a little past) and like I said, coarse, thick and pretty curly (not quite spiral but def. not wavy). I've tried gel, moose, hairspray, nothing seems to hold my curls!

I have thick, coarse curly hair, how can I manage my hair properly?!?

My hair is very thick and curly as well, and I just discovered some great new techniques. First, be sure to brush your hair before washing it to remove tangles, but then comb it afterwards to help keep the curls. Second, Redken ringlet is a fantastic product and hold my curls great. Run it through the roots of your hair to the tips and you will notice great improvement. Finally, never blow dry you hair becuase it removes moisture from you hair that helps to keep curls in place. Good luck!

I have thick, coarse curly hair, how can I manage my hair properly?!?

Bedhead stuff works unbelievably.

WHat is a good shampoo and conditioner for dry curly hair?!?!?!?!?!!!?

Go to a beauty supply shop and get a single treatment conditioner. It comes in a small packet. I've done the same thing with my hair and it works great and your hair smells really nice.

WHat is a good shampoo and conditioner for dry curly hair?!?!?!?!?!!!?

Conditioners can be a girls best friend and for that matter a guys too! Once hair leaves the head it is dead. This is why you can cut it and it doesn't hurt. Your hair is made up of keratinized proteins. These proteins are easily damaged by styling, heat, chemicals (perms, color, highlights, relaxers). Conditioners and deep treatments are your best bet to repair the damaged proteins in your existing hair. Split ends, dry hair and more can be repaired by conditioners. So what do you look for in a conditioner?

You should want certain oils, botanicals and also a few of the different vitamins. Here's the run down!

For hair repair! Emu oil is wonderful for dry hair and hair growth. If you hair looks old or is graying then I suggest emu oil conditioner. Emu oil conditioner can be used everyday if you wish! It does an excellent job of penetrating the hair shaft and also of super hydrating the hair and scalp. It also feeds the root of the hair the omega 3's that it needs to reproduce correctly.

I also suggest special conditioners that enhance circulation. Herbs that do this in hair care are fenugreek, horsetail, ivy burdock and capiscum. For fenugreek and Ivy burdock I suggest the NO WEIGHT DAILY CONDITIONER. It can be used daily. It is also loaded with panthenol to leave hair looking very full. Once again the herbs stimulate blood flow to the root of the hair which is crucial for healthy hair. This conditioner is not a protective or restorative conditioner for hair that has been damaged.

For hair repair due to damaging effects of heat, perms, sun damage, chlorine and more I suggest Silk Protein Conditioner. This is our top selling conditioner and rightly so! It has 3 molecular weights of proteins and these proteins penetrate the hair shaft to repair the chinks in the armor ( so to speak). this conditioner also has UVA and UVB sun screen added to it. A very natural conditioner with over 13 botanicals!

For hair that needs some serious help and I mean fast then I suggest a deep treatment. Actually i suggest a deep treatment for anyone that has not had one in 4 months. This is one of the best ways to keep hair healthy! Check out our deep treatment!

WHat is a good shampoo and conditioner for dry curly hair?!?!?!?!?!!!?

use moisturizing shampoo only. the best conditioners for you are water based leave in conditioners. the oils in the shampoo will be enough to absorb in your hair. the conditioner will lock in the moisture your hair needs without unecessesary oils to weigh the curls down. leave-in moisturizers will also prevent frizz.

WHat is a good shampoo and conditioner for dry curly hair?!?!?!?!?!!!?

Aveda's line for curly hair is amazing! It made my hair frizz-free and very shiny. I would suggest getting the shampoo, conditioner, and creme. It works wonders!

A Good Gel/Pomade for Curly Hair?

Aloe Vera works like a charm, and there's no worry about what kind of gunk you're putting in your hair!

Does anybody know how to keep curly hair from...?

does anybody know how to keep curly hair from going poofy when you try to brush/comb/make it neat in any other way?...it's really frustrating cuz when i wash my hair and i dont comb it or brush it or anything it looks really nice but then the next day after a night's sleep i get up and my hair looks really messy...but then when i brush it or comb it my hair goes all poofy...any suggestions?

Does anybody know how to keep curly hair from...?

Try using loreal professional curl memory down cream after bath. It will makes ur hair neatly curl instead of flying everywhere. Best is, it gives a veri light feeling for ur curls n dun weighs them down making them big and untidy.

Does anybody know how to keep curly hair from...?

omg im the exact same as you...what i do before i straighten my hair cuz i just find that easier for me..i want to make it wavy so its easy to straighten so either you throw it up in a high bun and wrap your remaining hair form you ponytail and then get a hair tie and put it together or you can braid your hair in two ponytails...but make sure you put hair oil in ur hair after taking a shower so the puffyness doenst go everywhere lol

Does anybody know how to keep curly hair from...?

Try some leave in treatments maybe.

John Frida is pretty good with any of there products. Maybe have a look for some to help keep your curly hair in check. %26amp; instead of brushing or combing it, i think it would be easier just using your fingers so it doesnt get boofy but it still stays relativly neat.

Also when you go to bed, you could try plaiting it and taking the plaits out in the morning making it less poofy.

lol good luck

Does anybody know how to keep curly hair from...?

Well, the secret behind maintaining the nice natural spiral curls is by not using comb or brush, but by detangling using fingers.

The best product I found in maintaining and styling curls is John Freida (JF) products. After washing your hair, use JF's Frizz-ease hair serum (JF step 3) on towel dried hair and then use the wind down curls relaxer (JF step 4) and let it dry.

After this routine, if you sleep off and you wake up from bed, you wont notice much change in the setting of the curls. But you can use a dash of hair spray to settle flyaway hairs if any.

The beauty of curly hair is on the way you style and maintain it rather than combing and brushing it. You can comb and brush just before you wash your hair to improve the circulation in scalp. But dont brush or comb after the hair becomes dry and curls get set.

Does anybody know how to keep curly hair from...?

personally what i do is i dont brush it, i shape it with my fingers using hair product.

after i wash it, once its almost dry, i put some mousse or gel in it to give it some hold, and ive found that even when i wake up in the morning it still looks good! all it needs is a little fixing up, and your done!

its never a good idea to brush or comb curly hair because your likely to end up with a ball of frizz!

Does anybody know how to keep curly hair from...?

AAARRGGG!!!

curly haired people should never , ever (NEVER - EVER) brush or comb dry (DRY) hair.

wet it down when you wake up. even if it's with a spray bottle with a little leave in conditioner in it.

here's what's happening to your hair now:

you are causing split ends and breakage by trying to comb or brush out any tangles. curly haired people can't do it because the curls break off causing one split end. that one split end curls around another hair causing another tangle. you brush or comb that tangle out causing another split end. that split end gets curled around another hair and.............

get the picture?

split ends dry your hair out. dry hair tangles easy. tangles get broken hairs. broken hairs poof. poofy hair tangles.

it's a never ending mess.

Does anybody know how to keep curly hair from...?

yes i have got sugestions :D try a frizz defence shampoo and conditioner, a leave in conditioner is also good and use a silk pillow case to reduce the frizzies when your rolling around all night.

hope i helped xoxo

How to make my curly hair wavy?

I have naturally curly hair. I either blow it dry with a diffuser or sometimes just let it air dry. My curls aren't real tight, kinda loose. I want to do my hair in larger waves. How do I do it? I like Kate Hudson's waves.

How to make my curly hair wavy?

Hi, I actually read this really good article about it, you'll find more useful information there I'm sure:

http://www.carefair.com/Hair-and-Nails/H...

How to make my curly hair wavy?

Curly Hair is beautiful! And to make that adorable wavy look takes about 4 simple steps!

1st: Wet you hair, dampen it with a towel, and blow dry with a round brush to get your curly hair fluffed.

2nd: Take a curling iron (thick reccommended) and curl it modestly and pull back in bobby pins to set.

3rd: Take the bobby pins out brush, and maybe add a cute accesory!! Anything to make it your own style!!!!

NOTE: DO NOT USE HAIRSPRAY WHILE CURLING!!

I need hair style tips for curly hair ?

but i want to do something new

any ideas ?

I need hair style tips for curly hair ?

you can go to the salon and take a look threw the books and find amazing fancy haristyles like buns with beautiflul clips or maybe you can get it curled and starightened and do some kind of a cute or maybe take a shower, wash your hair add gel and hairspray and then put it in a bun wait like 30 min then take it out of the bun and it will be very pretty but rember to do this you need to addd a lot of gel and hairspray and if you need more add hairspray while it is up.

I need hair style tips for curly hair ?

Have you tried 2 pony tails or braids

I need hair style tips for curly hair ?

How to get my curly hair striaght?

I have very curly frizzy poofy brown hair. I usually striaghten it though. What products can i use so that i can make my hair dry more straighter, and be less poofy and frizzy. Now i use Herbal Essensce Dangerously straight and Sunsilk anti poof. They work pretty well but not good enough!

How to get my curly hair striaght?

I have the same type of hair and have fought with it for many years. You will be much happier when you learn to work with the curls. However, that being said, I would try some of the more expensive salon straighteners...like Str8 by Rusk. Ask your beautician. You can also have it chemically straightened. It costs around $500 and lasts about 6 months. The downside is, as your hair grows the hair coming out of the roots will be wavy.

How to get my curly hair striaght?

a hair straightner!

hey its Christmas, ask 4 one!

How to get my curly hair striaght?

use a shampoo called sunsilk the purple color it works then straighten it it would still be wavy but that is hottttt right? thats how i do my hair try and email me if it works!!!! but god gave you the hair he wanted you to have and you are perfect the way you are!!!!

How to get my curly hair striaght?

blow dry it in sections starting from the back. it takes a while but worth the effort...use a strong straight brush that will give you some resistance when you brush your hair outward away from the scalp over and over again and drying it with the dryer..until it's dry and straight ..then get another section and repeat. if you want to make sure it's totally straight use a straightener iron after each section is dried...if your a first timer at this get a friend to help....your arms will ache after a while lol.

good luck

How to get my curly hair striaght?

You probably should dry professional products...I would suggest Rusk Smoother...go to a local salon and it should help.

How to get my curly hair striaght?

Go to a hair place and ask them!!!!

How to get my curly hair striaght?

shave your head bobo

How to get my curly hair striaght?

you can use olive oil for 30 min. before shower.

I love curly hair!!!

How to get my curly hair striaght?

Well the shampoos that you are using are good products...however, it would help to use the styling products that come with them in order to get the complete effect of the products[conditioner, gels, hairsprays,etc.]. After you shower blow dry your hair with a round brush until its completely dry. Next use your straightener to get bone straight hair!! Use a shine spray to seal the deal..and PRESTO.. STRAIGHT HAIR!! I have the exact same hair as you and it has become a daily problem!! I've just recent switched my shampoo to Dove for severely dry and damaged hair and guess what...IT WORKS WONDERS!! i hope my advice has helped you somehow!

If I grow my curly hair long will it become straighter?

I have extremely curly hair and I want to grow it long. If I grow it long will it become straighter or more relaxed from the weight of all the hair?

Thankies%26lt;333

If I grow my curly hair long will it become straighter?

it will most likely look less thick/poofy, but that actual texture prob wont change much

If I grow my curly hair long will it become straighter?

noooo

If I grow my curly hair long will it become straighter?

it all depends on th person

If I grow my curly hair long will it become straighter?

only slightly...

If I grow my curly hair long will it become straighter?

maybe..but if ur hair is natural curly it wont become straight.

If I grow my curly hair long will it become straighter?

it may become more relaxed but it wont become straight. just put mousse or gel in it to get the curls a little calmer for the mean while

If I grow my curly hair long will it become straighter?

no its not certain that it will grow straighter....i had a friend taht tried to do that with her curly hair and it did not get straight at all...but it probably depends on wat kind of hair u have whether thick or thin....:]

If I grow my curly hair long will it become straighter?

no, but the hair on the top of your head could be straighter since your curls are weighing it down

If I grow my curly hair long will it become straighter?

Not necessarily! My curly hair is down to the middle of my back and I haven't lost any curl! Just make sure to keep your ends trimmed so that they don't get dry and frizzy, it'll ruin your whole look.

If I grow my curly hair long will it become straighter?

NO TRUST ME. i thought this too but it does nothing.

it just makes it look a little less poofy because there is more hair to even if out.

i had crazy hair like that, and i got it permanetly straighetend.

even if it is really expensive, it is so worth all of the money. you wake up and your hair is light and thin and curly and so good.

i would definately recommend to get it permanently straightened.

If I grow my curly hair long will it become straighter?

It depends on your hair. If your hair is think there's a better chance that it will straighten under the weight. But, only slightly.

If I grow my curly hair long will it become straighter?

If you're lucky, but it didn't work for me. The best thing that works for me is if I wash it the night before, then not wash it the next day. I've read that hair needs some of it's natural oils, and when I wake up it seems straighter than ever.

If I grow my curly hair long will it become straighter?

No but the length will weight it down more

If I grow my curly hair long will it become straighter?

hmmmmm...I think yes because then your hair will have more mass so gravity would weigh it down more causing strain on the curls and making them straighter

If I grow my curly hair long will it become straighter?

Yes, your curls will get weighed down and will eventually become more straight. Be careful if u layer it. Not to many or it will become to puffy!

If I grow my curly hair long will it become straighter?

Yes,.. and more manage-ble.

But be prepared to have ringlets.

If you want your hair much more relaxed you can go to a hair salon and ask for the relaxer. It's used to remove perm soluation. It helps naturally curly hair.

If I grow my curly hair long will it become straighter?

How curly? are we talking Carrot Top or Diana Ross?

On fine hair, the curl at the bottom will "pull" the curl out of the top.

On (ahem) "extreamly resistantly curly" hair, what ever the length it will "poof".

If I grow my curly hair long will it become straighter?

Hi, No, growing hair long does not usually make hair straighter. On occasions it does, but not usually if your hair is extremely curly. If you want a permanent straight look, go for a hair straightener or a permanent hair straighten. It may make a slight diffference, but not really heaps noticable.

Good luck!

Hope this has helped.

If I grow my curly hair long will it become straighter?

no your will not be straighter. It just thick %26amp; more of wavy shape to ends.

If I grow my curly hair long will it become straighter?

Long fine wavy hair tends to straighten from its own weight. Hair with vigorous curls is more assertive. Only experience will show what may happen with your own hair.

I once had suppper curly hair. It was cut when I was little, and now its just wavy. How can I get it

it was suuper curly

how can i get back my old hair?

perm

I once had suppper curly hair. It was cut when I was little, and now its just wavy. How can I get it back?

try shaving your head

I once had suppper curly hair. It was cut when I was little, and now its just wavy. How can I get it back?

Try putting it in hydroacetic acid. It gives a nice texture as well as maximum curls.

I once had suppper curly hair. It was cut when I was little, and now its just wavy. How can I get it back?

If your hair is very long you could try cutting it shorter. My hair is less curly when it gets longer because it weighs more. Your curl loss may also be the result of over processing through straightening or dying. If that is the case you will have to either leave it alone and wait for natural hair to grow back in or treat it chemically until it grows out.

I once had suppper curly hair. It was cut when I was little, and now its just wavy. How can I get it back?

Naturally? That's a tough one- especially when people change genetically as they grow older. I do not know if I can help you with a natural remedy but, un-naturally, you could use a crimping iron or curling iron type of device. If you have lots of time, another way to make curls, like wrapping a gift, is to take something like a pair of scissors, and rub your hairs through the ends of it like when you make ribbon curl. The hormone testosterone is well known for making hair grow but I do not know if it will help make your hair curl like you want and this could have adverse effects like making hair grow on your face and other areas where you would not want it to grow. I do not know if this is true or just am old wise tail, but coffee is said to put hair on mens' chests- I have drank lots of coffee in the past and I have some curly hair there, but, again, it may put hair, like testosterone, in areas where you do not want it! Sorry, but the best solution I can think of is something like a crimping iron!

I once had suppper curly hair. It was cut when I was little, and now its just wavy. How can I get it back?

Me too. The older I got the straighter it got. I saw an interview on the Today show about a hair stylist for curly hair. She had just released a book called Curly Girl. I bought it and haven't had a problem since. My curls have returned and the frizz is gone.

Good Luck.

I once had suppper curly hair. It was cut when I was little, and now its just wavy. How can I get it back?

im not sure if it will work for you but my sister had the same thing and she cut her hair short again and it came out curly.

try to remember it and go to the parlour tell the stylist that this is what you have to do

I once had suppper curly hair. It was cut when I was little, and now its just wavy. How can I get it back?

hi,

friend,

why you want curly hair, it will not good for you, whatever you having now that will be good %26amp;enjoy with that only.you should think in this way only.

I once had suppper curly hair. It was cut when I was little, and now its just wavy. How can I get it back?

If your hair is longer, it may be weighing the curls down. cut = curl.

I once had suppper curly hair. It was cut when I was little, and now its just wavy. How can I get it back?

i don't know but when you find out let me know (the same thing happened to me)

I once had suppper curly hair. It was cut when I was little, and now its just wavy. How can I get it back?

Hair changes as we age. You may never get it back naturally. And for the love of God, don't shave your head!

I once had suppper curly hair. It was cut when I was little, and now its just wavy. How can I get it back?

You can never get back what you had when you were a child. I probably was not because of the cut. As time wears on, we lose certain things in our bodies that give us that young, vibrant look. I would say try eating better, or vitamins, but I do not think that will help.

If you do not find a natural cure, try getting a perm. It may not as bad as you think.

I once had suppper curly hair. It was cut when I was little, and now its just wavy. How can I get it back?

the length of your hair makes the difference. when your hair is longer, it weighs more and pulls the curls out. try something my cousin taught me called the "party perm", i learned it in high school and it really makes your hair look curly and doesn't last long at all. after you take a shower, your hair will be the curliest, (i'm assuming). Brush it out, and put some gel in it. If your hair is really thick, you'll need quite a bit of gel. Then take several hair clippies and just CLUMP your hair up in those clippies all over your head. This is not the style, and you are not trying to look cute while doing this. just put big chunks of the hair up in those clippies and don't try to get it all in there. the messier your hair is while you're doing this, the curlier your hair will be and stay. once you have all of your hair in the clips, take a blow dryer and blow dry your hair until it is almost dry. if you did it right, you probably won't be able to dry your hair all the way, as it will be thicker under the clips, but that is okay. just make sure you do not blow dry your hair straight. when you take your hair down, do not do any more drying, just scrunch it in your hands all over for a couple of minutes, and you have a one-day hairstyle that is very curly and looks amazing for one night. the next day, your hair will still be pretty wavy, but not all of the curl will be gone. You can wear it that way another day if you like, but the gel will likely get on your nerves because it won't feel right. this style only takes about 15 minutes max and looks really cool, like you just got a perm. i love it. hope you like it.

I once had suppper curly hair. It was cut when I was little, and now its just wavy. How can I get it back?

hair length is not the only thing that changes over time. hair texture and color changes as we age. for kids its usually a year or two before or after they go through puberty. it changes with pregnancy or menopause. or it changes for no other reason other than we are aging. if you want curly hair your lookin at a perm. talk to your stylist. if you have some wave in it you may be surprised how much curl u can get with a diffuser and the right product without a perm. but dont waste money on shampoos that say they'll curl your hair! its not happening.

I once had suppper curly hair. It was cut when I was little, and now its just wavy. How can I get it back?

Cut it short, short hair weighs less so there is less pull on the curls.

I once had suppper curly hair. It was cut when I was little, and now its just wavy. How can I get it back?

I'd reccommend cutting your hair a couple of inches. Both my sister and I have long wavy hair and once we cut it the curls came back naturally since they weren't weighed down.

or you can just try taming your hair with styling products for a few weeks. Eventually you won't need to use the products.
