What is the best hair product for guys wavy curly hair?

i have shoulder length wavy curly hair and am in search for the perfect hair gel or other product which will not dry out during the day and give me long lasting hold, definition, etc. Are there any excellent products available at the local pharmacy - Im open to salon product suggesstions - Teh current gel I use only drys out and makes my hair poofy - HELP !

Get whipped wax....we sell it at Regis Salon.....it doesnt harden or really dry for that matter, and it not greasy and has excelent hold and deinition for curly or wavy hair....also try TIGI Headbanger spray wax if you cant find the other

u can put gel and hairspray in it or buy a garnier fructise surfing style spray..its awesome...but it duznt work 4 me cuz i dont like it wen my hair is hard. but u can make firm waves. very hott! =P then after you put gel and hairspray in, blow dry. keep it firm!

I use Garnier Fructis Curl %26amp; Shine Leave-In Conditioner after every shower, that helps shape the curl and wave. I also use Dove Gel (doesn't dry or make your hair brittle %26amp; holds really well, no poofy-ness) or try Suave mousses, they work great and are in-expensive. I even do a combo of the Suave mousse and Dove gel on my hair and it'll hold all day.

is it long? braid it at night when its wet with a little foam or gel in it... in the morning it will be wavy, do not brush it though.. use your fingers to tousle it.

best thing to do is get a spray bottle and fill with salt water... after you bathe and wash your hair when it is almost dry spray it down and let dry naturally. it will wave up and then once it is completely dry you can *** dome curl activator gel and it will keep for a while if you have thin or hard to style hair. the slat water thing is the easiest cheapest and most efficient. if you have ever gone to the beach and let your hair dry with beach water you get the same effect.

I have naturally curly hair that is really soft. If it has any buildup at all on it, it "gives up" and won't curl. I have a short style that can't be done straight, and I've been using Redkin Curl boost and Alterna sculpting putty on it. Because it's soft it really needs the product to give it lift and definition, but now I'm having to curl a lot of it with an iron because its weighed down from the buildup. I've tried using Neutrogena clarifying shampoo and it helped some, but not enough. Does anybody have any suggestions?

I have a relative that owns his own salon and has been in business for years and this is what he recommends and I do it and it really does work and it is not expensive. Take your normal shampoo and mix it with a tablespoon or a little more of baking soda and wash it really good ...this strips all the buildup away ...then rinse and wash it again with just shampoo without the baking soda....condition then style.... It really does get rid of buildup... I hope this helps :)

A good cheap thing to remove build up is to add a little baking soda to your shampoo (any shampoo of your choice) not everyday just when it needs the build up removed. Make sure you do not over use products. For very soft hair I would not recommend a putty of any sort. If you do just have to use it do so very sparingly.

buy a flat iron "straightener" i have a jilbere for only 40 dollars and i got it at sallys beauty supply store idk if you know of a sallys but go to a beauty supply store and they should have straighteners and it works just make sure you get ceramic.

get a chi straightener. it's a little pricey, but if you go to bed bath and beyond you can use a 20% off coupon. it heats up fast and works the best out of all of the ones i've used.

First put some kind of straighten gel or balm on your hair. Blow dry your hair straight. Don't worry about styling it when drying just make sure you get all the moisture out of your hair. Once ALL the moisture has been blown out with the dryer, put your hair up and section by section, use a ceramic hair straightener to get it all straight.
